solar road stud were invented by British inventor Percy Shaw in 1933 and patented in the UK in 1934. 1935. They are designed to help drivers follow the road in darkness or fog. He came up with the idea after looking at the way car headlights reflected off road signs. Shaw founded a company called Reflecting Roadstuds Ltd. which was the first road stud manufacturer.solar road stud come in different sizes and are available in aluminium, rigid ABS plastic or glass. They are built to withstand heavy loads and severe shocks. They can have reflectors on one, two or all sides. Reflectors can be of various colors or colors, depending on their intended use. The LED spikes are topped with solar panels and batteries, which are charged by sunlight during the day. At night, their LEDs start to glow. They may or may not have small reflectors, but they are more visible thanks to the bright LEDs. They can be easily viewed from greater distances than other types of spikes.
